This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) president, and Polly Tommey, co-producer of “Vaxxed,” cover the latest COVID headlines including Moderna’s plan to make its COVID vaccine available to children as young as 5 by fall, Pfizer testing its vaccine on kids ages 5 through 11 and an expert who told the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for kids, the benefits of the COVID vaccine “don’t outweigh risks.”

Mary and Polly also discuss an admission by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that teens vaccinated with Pfizer or Moderna vaccines have a higher risk of heart inflammation. They also covered the story of a 21-year-old New Jersey student who developed myocarditis after the Moderna shot, and the CDC’s calling of an emergency meeting on rising cases of heart inflammation in people under 30 who got the COVID vaccine.

Here are a few of this week’s highlights:

Teachers at a New Hampshire high school are being criticized by parents and a state lawmaker after they labeled unvaccinated students with black markers during prom. “State Rep. Melissa Litchfield picked up the torch, and the parents were furious,” said Mary. “The good news is that people are standing up and saying, ‘this is outrageous.’”
Around 400 fully vaccinated people a day in the UK are getting reinfected with the virus. “It’s obvious that the vaccines don’t work very well,” Mary said.
The U.S. government will announce plans to send 500 million Pfizer-BioNTech doses to 100 nations over the next year. Mary said, “The way I see this in financial terms is they have an oversupply, and they want to see if they can get some money for them.”
At the G7 Summit, world leaders promised 1 billion COVID vaccines for poorer nations. Polly said, “This whole ‘vaccinating the world’ is them panicking that people who do not take the COVID vaccine are the long-term studies of who’s healthy and who’s not for the future.”
Eight people in Maine who were fully vaccinated for COVID died of the virus. The CDC reported more than 3,459 breakthrough cases of COVID resulting in hospitalization or death. “In vaccinated people, they only count breakthrough cases if the person is hospitalized or dies,” said Mary. “We know the vast number of breakthrough cases are not being counted. That is pure trickery.”
A new study found that about 22% of Americans self-identify as anti-vaxxers. Mary said, “If 22% of people are self-identifying as anti-vax, that’s changing politics and that’s a big deal.”
A report by NPR accuses anti-vaccine activists of using the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System to spread fear about COVID vaccines. NPR said many of the reported events are coincidental and not caused by the shot. Mary said, “If you don’t want people to use VAERS, why don’t you make public the other 10 adverse event reporting systems that they have.”
Tony Blair is pushing Boris Johnson to distinguish between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated. The ex-prime minister said it would not be discriminatory because people “choose not to” get the jab. Silkie Carlo of Big Brother Watch slammed Blair’s suggestion and said “medical segregation” should have “no place in modern Britain.”
Italy has stopped giving the AstraZeneca vaccine to people under 60 after a teenager died from a blood clot. Mary said, “They’re saying the risk of blood clots is lower in people over 60, but I find that pretty hard to believe.”
A judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by Texas healthcare workers forced to get the COVID vaccine or lose their jobs. “The plaintiffs are going to appeal that case,” said Mary. “The law protects people from being compelled to take an emergency use product.”
Presidents in the EU signed regulation for vaccine passports. The leaders called the document “a symbol of what Europe stands for.” Mary said, “Let’s see what kind of chaos this creates. It’s not clear it’s going to last.”
New York’s vaccine passport could cost taxpayers $17 million. “The New York Times, a very mainstream mouthpiece for the pharmaceutical industry, is talking about how Gov. Cuomo lied about the cost, said Mary. “They said “it was $2.5 million, it’s actually $17 million.”
Those who refuse the COVID vaccine in Pakistan will have their cellphones disabled by the government. Mary said, “This is opening the door for black market vaccine certificates.”
