Children’s Health Defense (CHD) last week launched its newest chapter, CHD-Illinois.

As with other CHD chapters, CHD-Illinois will speak up on behalf of the state’s children with a powerful, unified voice. The chapter will disseminate vitally needed educational information at a local level and improve relevant policy within the state of Illinois.

“I am pleased to bring CHD’s mission to Illinois,” said Chapter President Elizabeth Lennon, who has been a natural health advocate for many years. “Protecting children’s health and the environment while unifying the community are timely issues that are fundamental and embraced by everyone on our team.”

CHD-Illinois will host a launch party and fundraiser June 5 in the Chicago area. More information can be found on the chapter’s website.

CHD-Illinois joins CHD-California, CHD-New York, CHD-Hawaii and CHD-Europe in helping to further CHD’s mission. In turn, CHD provides legal, educational and other resources to help chapters address the issues facing their individual states and countries.

“I’m extremely proud of our chapter leaders and all the work they do, bringing health freedom advocates together to create a community,” said Karen McDonough, CHD chapter coordinator.

Children’s Health Defense is devoted to the health of people and our planet. Our mission is to end the childhood health epidemics by working aggressively to eliminate harmful exposures, hold those responsible for those exposures accountable and establish safeguards to prevent future harm.
