I suspect that this is just another coercion method, just like telling you that you cannot travel on planes are trains unless you are vaccinated. This is also illegal, and for those of us paying attention, we do not fall for these tricks. Unfortunately, many people do. The latest one is employers enforcing or trying to enforce vaccinations. Hi is there an exemption pass I could use to travel?
Generally we don’t recommend exemption cards etc. as there aren’t any really. Exemptions are to be taken at the person word, such as for medical reasons, religion, creed etc. the inside cover of your passport allows you to move freely from and to Canada, however, it is dependant on the country you are visiting admission requirements, therefore, no exemption would be universal.
Dave, VAX Pass may be defeated, but when? I’ll be a very old man when that happens. We have several large suits collecting dust from galati and others, so I have zero confidence in the courts to over turn anything related to the VAX pass for the foreseeable future.

Hi Susan, I am so sorry that your family is facing this, such a crime! Best suggestion is to seek legal counsel from an employment lawyer. In the initial info gathering, the lawyer will weigh the facts, such as length of service, job duties, if the jab is reasonable request, and so on. We are not lawyers and do not want to lead you down the wrong path. I would recommend recording info provided by the employer either via recording or simply making notes during the discussion. Written documentation is very useful in court proceedings so make sure you keep a file. As part of the charter no one can tell you what to do with your body. Privacy laws dictate that you are NOT required to provide medical information to anyone other than your physician (with exceptions such as insurance for disability or qualifying for life insurance). Above all else, make sure your husband doesn’t quit his job otherwise he is leaving voluntarily. Employment law has not been abolished simply because it is no longer convenient for the government or the employer, your husband has rights and he need not vary from his life or job duties due to an unprecedented time, such as this so called pandemic.

How about filing a complaint with the Human Rights Commission? You need to video and audio tape everything regarding why and who is dismissing you and then you contact HRC and they apparently will give you a file number and either they contact your employer or you present them with the filing, I’m not certain of all the details, but its what I’m going to do if necessary. Whatever you do don’t quit. Let them fire you and do not accept a layoff. Many employers may not realize that they can be liable for up to 2 years of pay.

By signing, they will be accountable for any harm that comes to you. I hear these notices have been very effective. If they employer fires you for this, you can sue them for wrongful dismissal.

I am not sure that it is that much. It might just require a letter from a lawyer, stating that it is illegal, and that they will be sued if they continue forward. The businesses are being fed misinformation from the government. Most will back off if they truly understood that it might be the end of their business.

As of today, the 27th, Manitoba has instituted almost a full blown vax pass. I am now ONLY allowed to shop for grocery as I am non vaxxed.

They told lots of us we could not travel to the States, during the heaviest of lockdowns, but yet, many people I know drove right across, saying they were just going to visit family. You have to be careful watching the media. They are lying about everything making people think these are laws. They all need to be challenged. Getting the vax is like playing Russian Roulette with your life. It’s not a guarantee you will be with your family. I watched an Australian News Station 2 days ago. They are saying 85 – 90% of the hospitalized are the vaccinated. The vax totally destroys your immune system, it only recognizes the C-virus and it doesn’t fight any variant or other virus. So think hard, is going to a restaurant that important.
Of course I’d like to stand my ground but if I don’t produce a COVID passport, then they will not allow me into the gym or may even call the police if I go in anyway. Then the police will be called and they will give me a $1300 ticket. If I don’t pay the ticket, interest will accumulate and this could effect other municiple services.

Just received an email at work today for mandatory vaccinations. I have a rare medical condition and am terrified of getting the covid vaccine. I have until Nov 1. What can I do. So our sneaky leaders just put a NEW clause in Canada re-opening Act 0/R 364/20–Road Map Exit Step. it sates that organization or businesses must comply with the vaccine policy, set out by Medical Health officer!!! Hi Dave, thank you so much for being a light in the dark! However, it looks like our final recourse would be a lawyer. Sadly, this scenario gives me more chills. Even if we lawyer-up, what if judges at all levels are also compromised? If I lose my case because of corrupt judges, how will I pay for legal fees if I already lost my job? How will I pay for my mortgage if I already lost my job? Will our family be homeless? Will we starve to death? This is very possible and it is very stressful just thinking about it. In any case, it would be very helpful if you could make a post about relevant class action suits or have a list of lawyers for different provinces who can help us. More power to you!
Manifest winning thoughts. This is the problem. Many people through years of systematic slavery at their jobs, do not have enough faith that they can land on their own 2 feet when they make a stand. I have had to go through 7 business changes since 2003, with no safety net, no unemployment insurance, and it always worked out. You need to just have some faith. When people fight on the right side of things, and get very strong willed, you would be surprised on how things turn out.

Some universities are saying they are not mandating vaccines, but want students to disclose their status and Dona rapid test each day, this is just as illegal and unconstitutional, any tumour of testing is against our charter.
My concern is if they are going to rapid test 1 they need to rapid test all as vaxxed have been proven to carry at the same level.

For those wondering if your employer has the right to demand a negative covid test to return to work. They don’t.
In fact, you can still test positive for covid up to 3 months after recovery. When you do, even though you aren’t contagious, you will have to self isolate another 14 days. Because of this, you are told not to take a covid test for 3 months.
So many questions with different answers depending who you ask.

I contacted A lawyer regarding my daughters forced vaccination to remain in school in vermilion Alberta and I was told by one of the legal secretaries that I could pursue litigation but I would lose and I really have no ground to stand against this.

Do not let peoples opinions sway your determination to protect your child. not sure if this a post secondary facility, (Lakeland college?) if so could they not provide distance training? if they are unwilling or unable to do this isn’t there an option for weekly testing? not that I am a fan of testing but she can request a gargle test. If none of these things work out she should request a refund for her studies as they have changed the conditions or terms of attending classes.
